<h1>Chapter 52 Fiasco</h1><p>Catherine glared at Arkhen but she didn't bother with him and turned to Mark.</p><p>"Brother, why?" Catherine looked at Mark with red eyes as she became slightly teary-eyed. "Nolan will take good care of Zoe, and she will also love him back after she spends time with him. Your daughter's happiness is important, I know. But so is my son's happiness."</p><p>"Umm, I think you should at least give Nolan a chance," Jax said with some hesitation. "Think of every perceptive. My son loves Zoe, so his heart is at the stack. Zoe doesn't love anyone right now but just doesn't want to marry Nolan. Alors, que diriez-vous au moins de laisser mon fils avoir sa chance ? » Isabella et Mark hésitèrent, sentant que Catherine et Jax avaient peut-être raison. Zoe fit la moue en hochant la tête. « Je ne veux même pas sortir avec Nolan, mais si tu le dis, je le ferai et puis je le rejetterai. » En voyant ce qui venait de se passer, tout le monde à la table était sans voix tandis qu'Evelyn commençait à glousser et hocha la tête. « Oui, c'est comme ça que ça va se passer. » « Qu'est-ce que c'est, frère ? » dit Catherine en regardant Mark avec une expression livide. Grace retint son rire tandis que John était sans voix, mais ne s'opposerait pas à Arkhen. Il ne pouvait pas se permettre de se mettre en mauvaise posture s'il voulait se réveiller et obtenir des superpouvoirs. Daniel voulait dire quelque chose, mais il se sentait comme une fourmi en ce moment car il était le membre le plus faible ici. Comme son père et sa mère n'avaient rien dit, il ne pouvait pas non plus exprimer sa pensée. De plus, il sentait que sa mère et son père étaient du côté d'Arkhen. « Merde, qu'est-ce qui se passe ? » Catherine et Jax ne savaient pas qu'Arkhen avait transformé Mark en surhumain. Isabella et Mark sentaient que ce qu'Arkhen avait dit était impoli, mais voyant que le résultat ne changerait pas et que Zoe ne changerait pas non plus d'avis, ils ne pouvaient que soupirer. Les yeux d'Isabella et de Grace s'écarquillèrent après avoir entendu cela. Elles savaient qu'Arkhen avait les moyens d'obtenir des informations sur les gens grâce à la façon dont il avait révélé tous les actes sombres de ce ministre. « Arkhen, est-ce vrai ? » dit Isabella en fronçant les sourcils, ses yeux devenant froids. « Vas-tu croire ses paroles vides ? » dit Jax en fronçant les sourcils. « Lubrique et avide ? Alors il ne devrait pas passer du temps avec d'autres filles parce qu'il aime Zoe ? » Ce Jax était aussi un morceau de merde pourri et Nolan l'avait hérité de son père. Mais Catherine n'était pas comme ça. Elle ne savait pas ce que Jax faisait derrière sa façade douce. « Mon fils n'est pas comme ça ! » cria Catherine en regardant Arkhen avec colère. « Il m'a dit à quel point il aimait Zoe et a même pleuré. Il n'a pas non plus eu de petites amies et n'est pas du tout comme ce que vous avez dit ! Nolan n'a d'yeux que pour Zoe. » « Pfft… Hahahaha. » Arkhen posa sa main sur la table à plusieurs reprises et se mit à rire comme s'il avait entendu la blague la plus drôle de l'année. Catherine ne pouvait plus le supporter et sentait aussi qu'il n'y avait plus d'espoir après avoir regardé les visages de Mark et Isabella. « Jax, on s'en va ! » dit Catherine avec colère en se levant. Elle regarda Mark avant de dire furieusement, « Je voulais quitter ce manoir avec de bonnes nouvelles, mais très bien. Au revoir ! Nous avons déjà acheté un autre manoir et y vivrons à partir de maintenant. » Jax et Catherine quittèrent le manoir sans faire leurs valises. … Nolan faisait la tête dehors et vit ses parents sortir. « Que s'est-il passé ? » demanda Nolan avec un peu d'espoir dans les yeux. « S'il vous plaît, dites-moi que vous avez réussi pour moi. Je veux cette fille dans mon lit tous les jours ! » « Jax, va chercher la voiture », dit Catherine avec un visage sombre. Elle regarda Nolan et soupira. « Désolé, fils. Il n'y a plus d'espoir avec Zoe. Mais ne t'inquiète pas, il y a beaucoup de meilleures filles là-bas. Tu n'as pas à rester fixé sur elle. » Nolan se retourna et son visage se déforma de colère. « Cet Arkhen a tout ruiné. Comment peut-il dire ça, et Zoe est même d'accord ? » Catherine était toujours livide à cause du fiasco affiché par Arkhen et Zoe. « Frère et Isabella n'ont rien dit non plus, bon sang ! » En prenant une profonde inspiration, Nolan ajusta son expression avant de parler, « laisse tomber, maman. Je suis un surhumain maintenant et je trouverai aussi une femme surhumaine à l'académie. Merde à cette famille Walton. Nous n'avons plus besoin de garder de liens avec eux. » Catherine sentit son cœur légèrement trembler, mais elle hocha ensuite la tête et se résolut. Une minute plus tard, Jax arriva avec la voiture, et la famille de trois personnes partit.
