first time that they heard someone say no to them</p><p>“umm?, so you are saying you won’t help me?”</p><p>Olivia asked intrigued instead of angry</p><p>“well…i can help but sis you know what you might have to give me”</p><p>hearing my words my sister went silent but then she spoke</p><p>“1 weeks worth”</p><p>“2 weeks worth, then we are done”</p><p>i directly said my price causing her to flinch but after thinking about it a bit she finally agreed</p><p>“fine you can have my 2 weeks worth of sweet”</p><p>hearing that i gave a pose of success and moved to play the game but then Olivia spoke</p><p>“so you are saying that you won’t do what i want for free?”</p><p>“why should i?”</p><p>Hearing the same answer it should have made Olivia angry but somehow instead she was feeling reply caught her off gaurd, everyone looked towards me, waiting for me to continue</p><p>“each of your moves are strict or rule following as if it’s predetermined, there’s no uniqueness within it hence they create cracks in your plan”</p><p>“because your too perfect there is no flexibility, hence you loose”</p><p>it was silent for a moment before a slapping sound came, everyone turned towards Carmel who was clapping with a smile on her face</p><p>“amazing, it really was an amazing game”</p><p>“Nora, i lost this one”</p><p>after she said that other’s also started clapping along with her who marveled at my performance, my sister came to me and ruffled my hair</p><p>“i knew you would win, my sweet’s are not wasted after all”</p><p>“that was amazing Austin, i owe you one”</p><p>Olivia interjected</p><p>at that moment Ella stood up and came to me, she was just a projection and couldn’t do anything to me, she came in front of me and pointed her finger</p><p>“your name is Austin right?, i will remember you, the next time we have a match i will win for sure”</p><p>after that she disappeared</p><p>“don’t take her word to heart she’s just competitive”</p><p>Carmel spoke up</p><p>“i am really surprised that there is such a chess genius here, i hope to meet personally in the future”</p><p>after that she went in to speak with the other’s while i was quickly thrown out of the room, shaking my head i walked back to my assigned room</p><p>‘fight Ella in chess the next time?, I’d probably lose’</p><p>the only reason won against her this time was becuase of my information from the game, in fact it was one of the prerequisites to win her affection</p><p>there was personally a flaw in her gaming style which the players muat use to win against her i had just used that, though it will only work once</p><p>tired i entered my room and feel asleep</p><p>the next day after the party me and my family set out to return to our home, i received a gift from both the Emperor and Olivia</p><p>currently we were standing near out ship getting ready to leave the Emperor and Empress had come to leave us off</p><p>“have a safe trip sis, if you have any problem just inform me okay?”</p><p>“sure, you don’t have to worry about me”</p><p>i stood there looking at them and i directly looked into the Empresses eyes, i felt my body go cold for a moment, saying my goodbye we boarded the ship, i didn’t even want go stay close to that women at all</p><p>the Empress felt like a storm which was only calm for now, why you ask..?</p><p>i had found over 5 recording devices in my room, it was hidden in different angles, normally a child who hadn’t awakened won’t be able to feel it but i could</p><p>looking through it i could feel mana similar to the Empress, i should be an idiot if i couldn’t understand it till now, as much as i want to deal with her currently i can’t</p><p>well the thought of cucking an Emperor does sound exiting, i must live after all that, so i couldn’t move against her until i awaken my bloodline</p><p>so like a nice boy i kept it all back, as if nothing had been changed, taking a deep breath and confirming my goals i entered the Chapitre 25 : Le Jeu (2) Ella était une autre cible à séduire. Bien qu'elle ne possédât pas de force physique remarquable, son aptitude innée lui conférait une intelligence exceptionnelle. Elle était le bras droit de Carmel. En matière de planification, d'organisation et de tout le reste, personne ne pouvait la surpasser. Après être entré dans la pièce, je fus scruté par d'innombrables regards. C'était comme si j'étais un spécimen rare. Des frissons parcoururent mon corps. En regardant devant moi, j'aperçus les filles derrière Carmel. Si ma supposition était correcte, elles utilisaient une magie de projection pour se manifester ici. L'échiquier devant moi devait être connecté magiquement à celui devant elles. Chaque mouvement que j'effectuerais serait reproduit de leur côté. C'était comme jouer aux échecs en ligne avec un ami, mais à un niveau bien supérieur. Nora m'expliqua alors ce qui se passait et ce que je devais faire. « Donc je dois battre cette grande sœur aux échecs. » Je dis cela en regardant Ella. « Exactement. » Nora hocha la tête, mais au lieu d'accepter comme elle s'y attendait, je fis autre chose. « Mais pourquoi devrais-je aider ? » Ma question plongea la pièce dans un silence. Les filles, jusque-là désintéressées, commencèrent à prêter attention. C'était la première fois que quelqu'un leur disait non. « Euh... Donc tu refuses de m'aider ? » Olivia demanda, plus intriguée qu'énervée. « Eh bien... Je pourrais aider, mais tu sais ce que tu devras me donner, sœur. » À ces mots, ma sœur resta silencieuse avant de répondre : « Une semaine de sucreries. » « Deux semaines, et c'est d'accord. » Je fixai mon prix sans barguigner, la faisant tiquer. Après un moment de réflexion, elle finit par accepter. « D'accord, tu auras deux semaines de sucreries. » Entendant cela, j'arborai une pose victorieuse et m'approchai pour jouer. Mais Olivia intervint : « Donc tu refuses de faire ce que je veux gratuitement ? » « Pourquoi le ferais-je ? » La même réponse aurait dû la mettre en colère, mais étrangement, elle se sentait heureuse. « C'est vraiment une expérience différente d'être rejetée. » +35 points d'affection. « Hum... Tous les regards se tournèrent vers moi, attendant la suite. « Chacun de tes coups est rigide, comme prédéterminé. Il n'y a aucune originalité, ce qui crée des failles dans ton plan. » « Parce que tu es trop parfaite, tu manques de flexibilité. C'est pourquoi tu perds. » Un silence régna avant qu'un bruit de mains ne retentisse. Tous se tournèrent vers Carmel, qui applaudissait en souriant. « Impressionnant. Vraiment une partie incroyable. » « Nora, j'ai perdu cette fois. » À ces mots, les autres se mirent aussi à applaudir, admirant ma performance. Ma sœur vint me féliciter en ébouriffant mes cheveux. « Je savais que tu gagnerais. Mes sucreries ne sont pas perdues. » « C'était fantastique, Austin. Je te dois une fière chandelle. » Olivia s'interposa. À ce moment, Ella se leva et s'approcha de moi. N'étant qu'une projection, elle ne pouvait rien me faire. Elle pointa un doigt vers moi. « Tu t'appelles Austin, n'est-ce pas ? Je me souviendrai de toi. La prochaine fois que nous jouerons, je gagnerai à coup sûr. » Sur ce, elle disparut. « Ne prends pas ses mots à cœur. Elle est juste compétitive. » Carmel prit la parole. « Je suis vraiment surprise de trouver un tel génie des échecs ici. J'espère te rencontrer en personne un jour. » Elle se remit à discuter avec les autres tandis que je fus promptement expulsé de la pièce. Secouant la tête, je retournai à ma chambre. « Affronter Ella aux échecs une prochaine fois ? Je perdrais probablement. » La seule raison de ma victoire était ma connaissance du jeu. C'était d'ailleurs l'un des prérequis pour gagner son affection. Il y avait une faille dans son style de jeu que les joueurs devaient exploiter pour la battre. Je l'avais utilisée, mais cela ne fonctionnerait qu'une fois. Épuisé, j'entrai dans ma chambre et m'endormis. Le lendemain, après la fête, ma famille et moi nous apprêtâmes à rentrer chez nous. Je reçus un cadeau de l'Empereur et d'Olivia. Nous étions près de notre navire, prêts à partir. L'Empereur et l'Impératrice étaient venus nous dire au revoir. « Bon voyage, sœur. Si tu as un problème, informe-moi, d'accord ? » « Bien sûr, ne t'inquiète pas pour moi. » Je les observai et croisai directement le regard de l'Impératrice. Un frisson glacial me parcourut. Après nos adieux, nous embarquâmes. Je ne voulais surtout pas m'approcher de cette femme. L'Impératrice ressemblait à une tempête momentanément calmée. Pourquoi ? J'avais trouvé plus de cinq dispositifs d'enregistrement dans ma chambre, dissimulés sous différents angles. Normalement, un enfant sans pouvoirs ne les aurait pas détectés, mais moi, si. En les examinant, je sentis une mana similaire à celle de l'Impératrice. Il aurait fallu être idiot pour ne pas comprendre. Bien que je veuille régler son compte, je ne le pouvais pas encore. L'idée de cocufier un Empereur avait quelque chose d'excitant. Mais pour cela, je devais survivre. Je ne pouvais rien entreprendre avant d'éveiller ma lignée. Donc, comme un gentil garçon, je gardai tout pour moi, comme si rien n'avait changé. Prenant une profonde inspiration, je confirmai mes objectifs et embarquai, ignorant ce que l'avenir me réservait.
